Our strength lies in our small seasoned senior staff of 8. All have advanced degrees in the Behavioral Sciences. Six have earned doctorates. Five are combat veterans. Two are  disabled veterans. All have management experience in the federal government.  Four have been National Course Leaders for American Management Association. Six are certified to administer MBTI, FIRO, STRONG INVENTORY, TKI  AND CPI. We have extensive Organization Development experience bringing Team Building, Strategic Planning and Conflict Resolution interventions to our clients. Our training is informed by this experience. We have been conducting and refining our leadership development programs and administering our 360 degree survey for 30 years. We have the depth to provide instructors on whatever dates are established by the client and can provide instructors for multiple simultaneous presentations.

James LooramJAMES LOORAM Ph.D.

A West Point graduate with a doctorate from New York University in Organizational Behavior, he is a graduate of the Department of Defense Race Relations Institute, and a graduate of Columbia University’s year long Executive Program in Human Resource Management and Organization Development.

He has been of Professor of Leadership (3yrs) at West Point and during that period, was the principal consultant to the Superintendent on matters relating to the integration of minority cadets.

He served as Director of Training for the US Army Organizational Effectiveness Center. (3 yrs) and directed the efforts of a combined military and civilian staff in the delivery of a four-month program, fully accredited for 16 graduate credits, which taught all phases of Organization Development to civilian and military middle managers (03 through 06, and GS 11 through 15). Subjects included strategic planning, team building, conflict management, action planning, organization design, influencing complex systems and related OD subjects. Graduates were then placed on military bases as organization development consultants.

He was the National Course Leader, for American Management Association. (15 yrs) presenting the organizational leadership instruction for their Course for Presidents and was their nationwide facilitator for their Executive Effectiveness Program, which required facilitating small groups of senior executives through two five-day programs focusing both on interpersonal competencies and managing complex systems

He and his faculty have conducted their own weeklong national level public seminar: Peak Performance: A Seminar in Personal Excellence (10 yrs). This seminar uses a five-person faculty team for large group instruction and for facilitation of breakout groups. His book ‘Your Essential Self” published by Frederick Fell Publishers in December 2008 captures the content of this seminar and has been honored with the New York Book Festival Award. See Appendix 5.

As President of Looram & Associates (30 years) he and his staff provide leadership and organization development services to Government and Fortune 500 Companies.

TONI WILSONTONI WILSON SPHR

Ms. Wilson provides consulting in HR, Organizational Effectiveness, Leadership Development, Executive Compensation, Diversity and Leadership Coaching. She was Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for the California State Automobile Association (CSAA). She has also held senior management and staff positions in HR, Diversity and Organizational Development at Gap, Inc., Levi Strauss & Co., Syntex Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Chase-TCMS (a subsidiary of Chase Manhattan Bank). Ms. Wilson has worked in over nine countries focusing on workplace practices effecting responsible leadership, diversity, and ethical business practices.

Her clients include organizations in the fields of technology, healthcare, financial, logistics, utility and insurance. She has also worked extensively with a number of local non-profit organizations focusing on board development, strategic planning and board/staff relationships. Ms. Wilson has served on the board of directors for a number of local organizations including, United Way of the Bay Area, Goodwill of San Francisco, and Friends of the Commission on the Status of Women. She currently volunteers as an Account Director for the Taproot Foundation supporting non-profit grants to develop effective HR strategies and related processes.

She has over 20 years of experience in human resources and has been a frequent speaker for professional and civic organizations, as well as academic institutions, on topics such as Diversity, Mentoring, Global Inclusion, Establishing Diversity Councils, Mobilizing Diversity Affinity Groups and Business Ethics. She has a B.S. in Organizational Behavior from the University of San Francisco and is working on completing her M.S. in Organization Development.

Jeffrey “Bo” BoyntonJEFFREY “BO” BOYNTON Psy.D .

Dr. Boynton  holds one doctorate and two Master of Science degrees in Industrial Psychology, and Counseling. He has served a wide variety of public and private sector clients including NASA, US Forest Service, US Army Corps of Engineers and Sun Microsystems.

Public sector assignments include six years in technology-driven organizations (General Instrument, Osborne Computers) and  served as vice-president of Human Resources for Velobind. a public corporation in California’s Silicon Valley. There, he developed and delivered the first of many comprehensive plans for organizational transition which he implemented successfully and for which he is now actively sought by many clients.

He is the author of a number of articles and handbooks for managers and leaders in subjects such as pro-active management, critical thinking skills, performance communications skills, personal peak performance, organizational community building and change management, among others. He is a Certified Disabled Veteran ,  State of California and has been a lead consultant for Looram & Associates for  twenty years

His academic assignments included membership on the graduate faculties of University of California at Santa Barbara, Pepperdine University, Chapman University, University of Puget Sound and University of Northern Colorado.

Timothy SmithTIMOTHY SMITH M.S.

Tim holds a M.S in Organization Development and Behavior (1989) from Chapman University, and a B.A. in Philosophy from California State University, Long Beach (1975). He was Vice-President and Senior Consultant for Senn-Delaney (1989-1994) working with Fortune 100 companies focusing on culture change. He has been a National Course Leader for American Management Association, (1994-1997) delivering their Executive Effectiveness Program for senior managers.  As President of Wheelwright Associates, (Founded 1994) Tim has consulted, coached and trained executives focusing on personal awareness and leadership style and delivered a wide range of organizational interventions in client systems. Because of his broad business exposure, diverse experience, and education Tim is sought after for his ability to create a refreshingly open dialogue and rapport with groups he leads.

Mario MacalusoMARIO MACALUSO, M.A.

Holds a Masters in Human Resource Management from Pepperdine University. He is a graduate of Columbia University’s Advanced Program for Human Resources Management and Organization Development. For five years he designed and conducted leadership and management development training for managers and directors of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). He has conducted training for a variety of organizations including Ford Motor Company, Quaker Oats, Indiana Hospital, and the Social Security Administration.

He has taught human resources and organization development courses as an adjunct professor for the University of Maryland, University College and Chapman College. Mr. Macaluso’s broad experience includes that of research fellow for a federally sponsored research and development institute where he worked on national programs involving organizational change, workforce analysis and strategic planning.

Lynn MyhallM. LYNN MYHAL, Ph.D., M.C.C.

Dr. Myhal designed and taught coaching courses in the Graduate Psychology school of John F. Kennedy U. for five years and has occasionally served on the faculty of New Ventures West, a certified coach training school in San Francisco.  She is one of 900 certified Master Coaches in the world, certified by the International Coaching Federation and is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the Institute for Management Consultants, ODNet, the International Coach Federation and the International Enneagram Association.

Dr. Lynn Myhal has provided integral leadership and career coaching to senior executives and their teams in both the public and private sectors for over 16 years. Educated as a research scientist in biology, she uses her experience as a manager in the federal government along with extensive advanced education in organization development, integral coaching, various validated assessment instruments, and management consulting to support executives and teams in obtaining the products of coaching: long-term excellence that is self-correcting and self-generating.

Lynn worked for several agencies in the federal government for 14 years before beginning her own coaching and consulting practice. Her government clients have included the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), NASA, CIA, IRS, NGA, Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), US Forest Service, USAID, VA, DOT, SSA and the Tulare County, California, District Attorney’s office.  Dr. Myhal’s commercial clients have included individual executives and executive teams at Oblix, Inc., Lightwave, Inc., Genentech, Inc., Adobe Systems, Incl, Intel, Inc., Serena Software, Inc., Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Verisign, Inc.  She also coaches executives at nonprofits, often pro bono.

Lynn enjoyed serving on the Board of Trustees in Palo Alto for seven years, where she held several leadership positions.  She lives in Silicon Valley with her husband, who is a senior executive at NASA.  She brings breadth, depth and a sense of humor to all of her relationships, and is passionate about bringing joy and freedom to clients in their workplaces.

Mitchel Kotula MITCHEL L. KOTULA M.S.

Since 1982, Mitch has held a wide variety of Change Management leadership positions and is known as an innovator and as an expert in change implementation and transition.  He is a practical consultant who can translate theories and concepts into effective solutions that work in real life situations.  He is currently operating a private consulting practice, working also as an associate with the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD).

While at Accenture from 1995 through 1999, Mitch had worldwide responsibility for the development and delivery of training and competency development for the Change Management practice area.  As such, he worked with internal development teams and a wide variety of thought-leaders, academic institutions and practitioner organizations to provide state-of-the-art training solutions for a global practice.

Before joining Accenture, Mitch co-developed and managed KPMG Peat Marwick’s Change Management practice while maintaining an active consulting practice with clients.  Prior to his KPMG experience, Mitch was a senior consultant with ODR in Atlanta, Georgia, where he worked with Daryl Conner in writing the book, Managing at the Speed of Change.  Recently, Mitch was a key contributor working with Peter Robertson on the book, Always Change a Winning Team.  In addition, Mitch is a former career Army officer, master parachutist and Army Ranger.

Mitch has Master degrees from both Winthrop and Webster Universities, a post graduate credential from the Organizational Effectiveness Center and School, is completing the Change Management Qualification from the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia, is certified Level III in Managing Organizational Change by ODR and is fully accredited by Implementation Management Associates.  In addition, Mitch grew up in a Navy family and, coupled with his Army and corporate careers, has worked, traveled and lived in Europe, Asia, Central and South America.

A Vietnam infantry veteran, Mitch is married to a real estate broker and has two sons:  a mechanical engineer working in Charlotte, NC and an owner-operator of Insight Latin America living in San Rafael, CA.

PHILIP BUTLER Ph.D.

An experienced manager for over 20 years with a doctorate from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Butler has been a professor of Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management for Chapman University and has been a professor of Management at the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, where he instructed U.S. and foreign-service officers in social psychology, organization behavior, organization development and human resource management. He has traveled extensively to consult and train for Navy organizations throughout the world. He is a highly decorated veteran who spent eight years as a POW in Vietnam. He has 25 years of consultant experience in personal, group and organization development and is a well-known keynote, motivational speaker.

JERRY EPPLER Ph.D.

Dr. Eppler is a Michigan State University fellow with a doctorate from Arizona State University.  He has completed post-doctoral work at Harvard University in the Organizational Effectiveness Executive Program . He received fourteen awards for excellence, including the Commander's Award for Civilian Service, one of the highest honors offered by the Department of the Army. Dr. Eppler was the Civilian Dean of Training for the U.S. Army's Organizational Effectiveness program, a fully accredited graduate program which trained officers to be internal management consultants army wide. He is a recipient of the N.R.C.C. National Leadership Award, and serves as Honorary Chairman to their Business Advisory Council.

Prior to the Berlin Wall coming down and the end of the Cold War, Dr. Eppler was a guest lecturer and consultant at the business school of the University of Saint Petersburg, Russia. While there he conducted management seminars and coached the senior executives of the university. He has also been a consultant to the Minister of Economics of Estonia, and has given seminars at the Estonian Management Institute. He also serves clients in Canada, Australia, Europe and Central and South America.

He is the author of many articles on communication and high performance and has been a reviewer of books in the field.  During his tenure on the American Management Association faculty for the prestigious Presidents' Association training and the Executive Effectiveness Program, he was one of their highest ranked presenters. Dr. Eppler has received the Golden State Award for exceptional leadership, service, and achievement. He also received the "Guardian of Berlin's Freedom" award. He is listed in Who's Who in California and in Marquis Who's Who in the World.

AL COKE Ph.D.

Dr. Coke holds four advanced degrees (B.S., M.S., M.A., M.B.A. & Ph.D.) A registered Organizational Development Consultant, he has logged more than 4,000 hours training managers in excellence. He is the principal designer of American Management Association's four week long Management Course and has served on the AMA's Planning Advisory Committee. In addition as a principal course designer for American Management Association he is the author of twelve American Management courses and over seventy-five seminars.  He is a highly respected guest lecturer of management practices at the Graduate School of Banking of the South, hosted annually at Louisiana State University.

Al's chapter Corporate Fitness is again included in the reference text Transforming Work reprinted in 1998. Al’s definitive book on the subject of business planning, Seven Steps to a Successful Business Plan, was published by AMACOM in 2001. He frequently appears in magazine articles (Profit), radio (CNBC radio talk show “Home Stretch”), and television (Report on Business).

He served for three years as the Organization Development Consultant for the Army's Chief of Staff, Pentagon, Washington D.C. In August 2006 he completed a one-year assignment as Chief of Staff, XM Canada. He was involved in a startup operation that produced an IPO for an 800 mm company providing historically ground breaking national satellite services across the country. Al served as an Executive Consultant with the IBM Corporation, Internal Transformation, Consulting Services Practice. Hired to bring business planning and practical business solutions to IBM's internal processes, Al and his teams defined new methodologies and strategies across a wide range of services on an international scale. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors for a Baton Rouge based company.

His government client list includes Alberta Gas & Natural Resource, National Archives Records Branch, Public Works Government Services Canada, The Royal Canadian Mounted Police – Organized Crime Division, Canadian Securities Establishment, Alberta Economic and Tourism Division, and the National Research Council of Canada.
